Nokia Announces the N85
by Clinton Jeff
Nokia recently announced two new additions to the N-series lineup. One of them was the Nokia N85 :
The highlights of the device include AM OLED screen technology , a 2.6 inch screen tri-band WCDMA (3G) cellular radio, USB charging,an FM transmitter, preloaded Ovi content and services and preloaded N-gage application with games (demos, one of which can be activated to full version). It is also expected to ship with an 8Gb miniSD card. Nokia is saying its their smallest dual slider form factor yet.
As is the norm these days, it comes with the
usual Nseries specification list: A 5 megapixel camera (with dual LED
flash, carl zeiss optics and a lens cover),video capture at 30fps QVGA, integrated GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm audio jack and TV-out. All that coupled with a 1200 mAh battery (Nokia is claiming 7 hours of video playback, 30 hours of music), makes the N85 a powerhouse of a device.
You can read more about the device over at the Official N-series N85 product page. For the tech specs of the N85, click here.
The N85 is said to be available around November at an estimated price of €450 (roughly $650).
If you ask me, its about time Nokia's had a device that supports USB charging. And with AMOLED screen technology, the N85 is shaping up to be even better than the N96.

Still debating if its worth trading the N95 in for....
fyi, it takes a microSD card, not miniSD
