If There Were a 16GB N95... Would You Buy One?
by Darla
Nokia has always been full of surprises when it comes to listening to consumer feedback. Of course I'm only going by the things that I've noticed over the years but I'm sure that many people can agree with that statement.
One of the reasons that I purchased the 16GB iPhone over the 8GB is because I want all of my favorite music with me. Some video clips, TV shows and audiobooks follow me wherever I go, but in the powerhouse of the popular N95... is more memory needed? I mean I know none of us like getting that "memory full" error message, especially when we can't really target where it's coming from and what makes it happen.
The Nokia N95 in all versions is one of the top multi-media devices out there IMO and with all of the new services available such as N-Gage, Nokia Chat, Nokia Email and any of the other of the cool Nokia based applications I'm wondering if we could in fact use more storage?
Fortunately, the catalog of micro SD cards have now increased to include up to 16GB, but even though they may be compatible, one must consider if the internal memory can support it. I've often browsed the files on my devices wondering why I have 2 folders for 1 application on each drive, and since I'm no expert on what the content is for in those folders I just leave them be. But if Nokia themselves decided to increase the drive on their devices they would consider the fact that they would have to increase the internal memory as well.
Maybe this is just me rambling, but what's your answer to the question?

If Sprint offered Nokia, definitely! ;-)

Good article Darla but I think I'd rather just wait for the N96.

The 16GB N95 is going to be the N96 ... ;) It will support 16GB on board with the option of adding an additional 16Gb through MicroSD cards. Can't wait!

No, N96 is not and N95 improved, not even an evolution of N95. I agree with Darla, N95 with more memory and (may be) a bigger screen would be great

sorry Darla,I think the N95 is tired. although I think a 16GB E71 would rock...

Being a Nokia enthusiast, I probably would buy a 16GB N95, but as I have the N95-1, and N95-2 already, I could just wait until Sandisk releae the 16GB MicroSD, and pop it in my N95-1

I agree with Jonathan. A 16GB N95 is basically the N96. Unless their is an extreme difference in the pricing, I can't see why anyone would buy a 16 GB N95.
