Verizon Wireless to Auction Celebrity-Autographed Handsets

Beginning today through November 9, Verizon Wireless is holding the first ever 'HopeLine Online Phone Auction.' Proceeds from the auction will support national domestic violence prevention, education and awareness programs across the country.
Participants in the HopeLine auction can bid to purchase phones signed by their favorite TV personalities, celebrities and professional athletes including:
-- Michael Bolton, Singer
-- Ronnie Lott - Former NFL Player
-- Ross Powers - Snowboarder
-- Andrew Shue, Actor
-- Meredith Vieira - Co-Host, "The View"
-- Trey Wingo - Anchor, "SportsCenter" on ESPN
Bidding on the signed phones is as easy as logging on to the Verizon Wireless Web site. Beginning today, participants can go to www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline, click on the 'Phone Auction' banner to be taken to the 'HopeLine Online Phone Auction' site, which will be conducted on eBay. Not only will the winning bidders receive an autographed item from their favorite celebrity, but they will also win one of the hottest new phones available to Verizon Wireless customers, the Samsung SCH-n330 or the Motorola E815.
